How do you respond to critics who say that the emphasis on free market principles and limited government may not address all community needs?
Response:
The best solutions come from empowering individuals and communities, not expanding government control. Almost without exception, the communities in our nation that are thriving are those that have allowed innovation and industry to thrive. Free market principles foster innovation and opportunity, while limited government ensures personal freedoms. We see this approach as essential for sustainable growth. Without it we see the disinvestment that has destroyed not only Black communities, but also appalachian communities and rust belt communities. Also anyone who tells you that limited government, means no government is misrepresenting the truth. Limited government means the government gets out of the business of stifling business. Can you provide examples of how the Frederick Douglass Freedom Alliance has made a difference in key elections?
